Firmly Rooted in Christ
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” -Colossians 2:6-7
Our desire is that our children be firmly rooted in Christ. We want to partner with parents to disciple their children, encourage them in faith, and to pray for them. We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything.
Because we believe it is important for children to worship with us, children 4-11 years old start in the service with their parents and then are dismissed to class after the offertory. A teacher holding a class sign will await the children at the back of the sanctuary. Parents are welcome to walk their children back to the teacher or to allow their child to walk back themselves.
Parents of children who are newborn to 3 years old have the following options:
- Parents may drop off their child before service starts
- Parents may keep their child with them in service
- Parents may keep their child with them for the first part of service and then drop their child off at the classroom after the offertory, when the other children are dismissed .
Please visit our Welcome table to find out more about our children’s ministry and to register your children for class. We offer three classes:
The Seedlings class is for children newborn to 3 years old.
The Sprouts class is for children 4-6 years old.
The Buds class is for children 7-11 years old.
